Making Soto More Practical

A soto (Indonesian soupy dish) comes with a lot of condiments. To make it more practical, the trick is in organising its steps:

  1. Before you place all ingredients in a serving bowl, blanche thinly sliced cabbages in the soto broth so that they become slightly tender or boiling water.
  2. Organise the noodle, sliced cabbages, spring rolls and tomato.
  3. Pour in soto broth
  4. Sprinkle with chopped spring onion, and add a squeeze of limau (L. Citrus amblycarpa) juice. Because limau has a lot of seeds, make sure that you deseed it first before squeezing.
  5. Serve while warm.
